Indigenious

Native Portraits I’ve taken through the years. Most of this collection is from my regalia Documentary project in Alaska. portraits of Crow-Kiowa sisters and a young Seminole girl are from earlier works.

REGALIA DOCUMENTARY PROJECT
Who we are and where we came from has long been documented on the robes of the Coastal peoples of Southeast Alaska and Canada. Producers Donna Beaver (Tlingit/Tsimshian, Wolf Clan) and Clarissa Rizal (Tlingit, Sea Tern Clan) began a film documenting the history and importance of dance regalia among today’s Northwest Coast Native tribes, including the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian. This project is on hold due to funding and the passing of my project collaborator, Clarissa.
