The Rock’n Science Club

My spoke-toons for science include: The Rock'n Fossil (who loves geology and paleontology), The Periodic Penguin (chemistry), Volcano Ashley and Eartha Quake (volcanology, seismology, and geology), Plato Tectonics (takes a deep dive on the earth's tectonic plates), Plankton of the Opera (shares his microscopic spin on the world of biology), Mrs. Hippie River (highlights the best of hydrology and biology), and Lati-Dude (cartography and geologic mapping).

The project explores the fun side of science with a cultural twist for students, teachers, and the general public. Initially funded by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1998, this informal science project was suspended due to insufficient support and funding. All rights to the characters I developed and created were returned to me as the original artist and creator.

New ideas and a few new characters will join the club, including "Count Mapula" with his knowledge and love of old maps. So, stay tuned!

More to Come . . .
